Election Information

The next Election Day is Tuesday, April 7, 2026

Ways to vote:

  • Absentee ballot by mail. Absentee ballots will be sent by mail beginning around March 13 and can be requested now through April 2. To request an absentee ballot, click here.

  • Early voting (absentee ballot in person). The clerk will be at the town hall for early voting on Tuesday, March 31 from 3-6pm. Bring an acceptable photo ID.

    • You can also register to vote at this time. Along with photo ID, you will need to bring proof of residence.

    • You can ask to vote early by appointment with the clerk. Send an email with preferred date(s)/time(s) between March 24 and April 5. (Appointments are dependent on availability; the clerk is part time and does not work at the town hall.)

  • At the polls on Election Day. The polls are open from 7am to 8pm on Tuesday, April 7. You must bring a form of acceptable photo ID. You can also register to vote on Election Day with photo ID and proof of residence.

You must be a US citizen to vote, but you do not need to show proof of US citizenship.

Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM on all election days. The polling place is the Lucas Town Hall, E2301 State Road 29.
